Description

Crafted in the mountains of Serra da Estrela, these throws and blankets are a testament to generations of Portuguese wool artisanship. Woven from 100% wool using thicker yarn, they have a dense, comforting texture that reflects their origin in a landscape shaped by snow, granite, and tradition. The designs—ranging from rustic to minimal—capture the visual language of the mountains with enduring simplicity. More than a textile, this is a piece of living heritage, made to be used and treasured across seasons and spaces.

The throws and blankets are made by a family-run atelier established in 1925.  The wool comes from a distinctive breed of sheep native to the region, known for their warm, natural tones of white, beige, and brown. Raised in high altitudes and cold conditions, these sheep produce wool that is both resilient and deeply connected to the land.
